February 19, 2021 Hingham, MA: Dynavac, a leading supplier of thin film deposition and space simulation systems, is pleased to announce a major expansion of facilities, capital investment, and workforce.

Tom Foley, President of Dynavac, said “This expansion initiative will support the growth objectives established in our five year business plan. We are bullish about growth in both our thin film and space simulation markets and these investments will enable us to keep pace with our customers’ needs.”

The company has acquired a five building, 70,000 square foot industrial complex in Pembroke, MA and will immediately occupy two of the five buildings. This expansion supports its supply chain and inventory management; a third building in the complex will expand light manufacturing operations.

Dynavac’s Hingham facility continues to serve as the company’s headquarters and will house engineering, business development, and advanced manufacturing. This space will be used for system integration and test, light manufacturing, expansion of our thin film application lab and R&D efforts.

In addition to this increase in workspace, Dynavac has made a substantial investment in capital equipment to expand capacity and streamline business processes. A six-axis robotic laser cutting system will transform our vacuum chamber manufacturing process, reducing manufacturing costs, and in this time of high market demand, reduce vacuum chamber manufacturing lead time.

Dynavac plans to add 40 employees to its workforce over the next five years. Growing the core group of skilled employees is vital to the company’s growth and to manufacturing in New England.

The new facilities strengthen Dynavac’s leadership in production methods and quality. “Our customers demand increasing technical sophistication from our systems. Our new facilities and expanded capacity will have the very best design, manufacturing, test, and support capabilities in our industry,” says Andrew Marsh, COO.
