Hingham, MA October 6, 2021    Dynavac is currently developing high efficiency DLC films on chalcogenide substrates under a joint development agreement with a leader in the precision optical industry.  The Dynavac Application Lab’s research and development team is designing coating recipes and equipment configurations, adding another turn-key optical deposition system to the company’s product line.   Following completion of the R&D work, the customer will serve as a beta site testing films for its optical and durability performance.

Ramya Chandrasekaran, Dynavac’s Director of Technology said “This partnership is a great example of how we use the Dynavac Application Lab to tackle some of the hardest problems in thin film coating.   We are collaborating with our partner to develop a commercially viable diamond-like coating (DLC) on challenging substrates, under demanding process and performance criteria.”

Dynavac will exhibit at SPIE Optifab in Rochester, NY 18- 21 October.  Please come visit our booth to discuss how we can help with your coating challenges.  We hope to see you in Rochester.  In the meantime, visit here to learn more.
